Directouch from BMI shut down 4 days after Warranty out

I purchased Directouch POS from BMI. Since the day I received the equipment and software the cash drawer has not worked. They sent me a new one and when that one didn't work either they quit trying to fix it.

It also has alot of problems with reports. It is suppose to download into quickbooks but the computer they sold me does not have a fast enough processor or enough ram to run quickbooks so I have never been able to use that feature.

Now 4 days after the warranty ran out it wont process my credit cards. They will only fix it if I pay them $145 for an over the phone tech call. I looked into quickbooks cash register POS and they only charge $20

We purchased the same software at our place of business and the system has been full of holes.Reports started messing up right from the get go and the system seems to crash at least once a week.

As for tech support it seems to be non existent.

It really is a POS buyer beware.Spend the extra cash and get something like Micros instead
